Student Success Handbook

A helpful guide for new students navigating DU.

Housing & Residential LIfe

Living on campus at Davenport University is an opportunity to enjoy the traditional residential experience. Our mission is to provide a safe and inclusive living community by empowering student accountability, providing access to resources, fostering learning experiences, and developing meaningful connections. There are many living options for students when they apply for housing and residence life at Davenport.

 South Hall

  • Reserved for incoming freshmen living on campus.

  • South Hall also merges with the dining hall on campus.

  • Provides multiple amenities that include wireless internet, cable, computer labs, social lounges, and laundry rooms on two floors of the building.

Cook & Meijer Halls

  • Another option for incoming freshmen if there is an overflow of students

  • The same amenities mostly apply to Cook Hall.

It is important that students check their Davenport email frequently in the summer about the housing application. Living options are available to be shown during the student’s orientation day. Rooming assignments are based on the application date and space availability, so the earlier the better when applying!
