Academic Advising

Your advisor is a primary “go-to” person who can help you navigate through the university.

  • They assist you in making decisions about specific courses that are needed for your degree.
  • They offer guidance about your academic goals
  • They monitor your performance and progress through your time at the university and can help you work through struggles or challenges you are facing
  • They are available to answer questions you may have and will provide a referral to the appropriate department or resource so you can get additional support

Career Services

A source of professional development information that will help you with anything from selecting a major to creating effective application documents and even negotiating salaries.

Library Services

The Davenport University Library digital resources are carefully selected to support the University’s curriculum.

  • Research help or quick answers to questions are available email, online chat, and text message.
  • When students need more extensive research help, they can meet online with a DU librarian.
  • The librarians provide Library Guides to the best material supporting specific classes and subject areas.

Peer - Mentoring Program

  • Supporting first-year, first-generation students by pairing them with experienced upperclassman.
  • Pairings are based on gender, major, values, and interests.
  • Having a peer mentor will help you navigate through your college experience to reach your personal and educational goals.
  • Mentoring is a proven means to success and our program is open to all first-year, first-generation students

Tutoring Services

Davenport University offers free tutoring services to students taking DU courses. Tutors are available to online and on-campus students for a variety of subjects.

24/7 Student Resources

On the student resources page, there are links to different kinds of services and tools to help students succeed in the classroom. 

  • Different links and videos that show step by step how to write a paper incorrect format. Note that Davenport uses APA 7th edition writing style. 

  • There are also learning success skills links to help students with different kinds of studying methods for all subjects. 

  • The multi-discipline learning aids are resources to improve the efficiency of studying.
