Know your audience and adapt your message to them. Does your audience have a general knowledge or are they experts in your field?

Make a list of requirements for your poster.

These can include:

• physical size limitations
• use of logos or colors
• what your poster can be mounted on
• required sections (e.g. Abstract)

• A DU logo which has been approved. To download logos, go to DU's Logo page
• Title
• Your name and all team members' names (if a team project)
• Your faculty sponsor's name
• Purpose (problem statement or question)
• Methodology (methodology followed or proposed methodology, if research is not completed)
• Results and findings (only if research is completed)
• Summary and Conclusion (only if research is completed) 
• Reference list of sources used for project that follow APA guidelines
• Your poster must be printed in color
• Size of poster must be 24" x 36"
