Sneden Auditorium, Lettinga Campus

 

  • The Celebration will be at 2:00 PM in the Sneden Auditorium at the Lettinga Campus, with a Silent March to follow. 
 
  • Dr. Pappas will provide opening remarks, followed by reflections from keynote speaker Dr. Melissa Harris-Perry, the author of the award-winning Barbershops, Bibles, and BET: Everyday Talk and Black Political Thought, and Sister Citizen: Shame, Stereotypes, and Black Women in America. The event will also be live streamed.
 
  • The winners of the annual MLK Day essay contest will be recognized. 
 
  • The event and Silent March will conclude between 3:00-3:20 p.m. 
 
Service Opportunity! 
Come make a fleece tie blanket from 3:00 -6:00 p.m. in the Center for Learning and Engagement (CLE)!
The blankets will be donated to a local nonprofit.
