Download Entire E-book

To download an entire e-book, you need to create an Ebscohost account and have Adobe Digital Editions downloaded on your computer. 

Step 1 - Getting Started

  • Click on the Full Download link on the left side menu in the e-book.

  • If you haven't already logged in, you will be prompted to create/sign in to your Ebscohost account.

Step 2 -  Downloading setup

By downloading the entire e-book, you are checking it out for a certain number of days. After that, it will be unavailable unless you download it again. 

  • Select the number of days you want to check out the e-book.
  • Select if you want it in PDF or EPUB.
  • Check the box you have installed Adobe Digital Editions on your computer or download it with the link provided.
  • Click on the Full Download button.

Step 3 - Opening the E-book

  • Click on the e-book file ending with .ascm  in the download folder on your computer. It should open in Adobe Digital Editions.
  • You can also click on the e-book located in  Bookshelves- All Items in the Adobe Digital Reader on your computer. 

If you selected PDF format:

  • The pages will appear one at a time by scrolling up and down.

If you selected EPUB format:

  • The e-book will appear in sections you navigate with the left & right arrows

The e-book will expire from your Adobe Digital Editions reader when the time is up. You can download it again if you need more time.

Download and Print a Chapter

After you click on a chapter, use the down arrow to download a chapter into a PDF or click on the Print Pages to print.

E-book has limited number of copies available

If the e-book you are using has a limited number of copies available, Ebsco will tell you how many copies are in use under e-Book Availability.  If all copies are in use, you will have to try again later to access the e-book.
