Enter your Davenport login if prompted
Save the file to your computer

Select the .exe setup file and if prompted, click Yes to allow SPSS to make changes to your device
It will start to load. Then select Next at the Overwriting Warning screen

Select I accept the terms in the license agreement, and Next at the Software License Agreement window

Select Next at the Destination Folder window to install the folder in the destination provided

Select Install at the Ready to Install the Program window

OK if warned that the software may require your computer to reboot (save and close all programs first if you want to reboot immediately afterwards).When it is finished installing, you can either 1) click Finish and leave the default check mark so it will open and you can reboot later or 2) uncheck the default check mark and click Finish, and reboot. Following the 1st method will give you some warnings about not having the right license code until you reboot. Following the 2nd method will delay the next steps until you open the SPSS software again, but no warnings! These instructions will follow the first method.

When the software first opens (you'll see it behind the Activate IBM SPSS Statistics screen), the default is Login with IBM ID. Choose Launch License Wizard.

Don't contact IBM for an access/authorization/license code. Instead, retrieve the 2025-26 code by clicking here. Paste it in the box labeled Enter Code, then clickAddbutton to the right of it to move the code into the big box below.

When the code has moved to the larger box below (outlined in red with the code blacked out here), click Next

At the Internet Authorization Status window, click Next

At the Licensing Completed window, click Finish

If prompted, choose to restart IBM SPSS Statistics immediately (by clicking Restart) or later (by clicking Later)

You might get a Windows security alert asking you if you want to allow access to private or public networks. Select the private networks check box, and if you want to risk it, the public networks, if you will be using SPSS when in public places on their Internet (not recommended).
You will be taken to a Welcome screen with updates, help, and tutorial links. This is where you can click on the Licensing Wizard at the bottom right to update your Authorization code. Once you are familiar with everything, if you don't want to see this screen every time you open SPSS, click the check box in the lower left corner Don't show this dialog in the future and then click Close.

Success!
You can now load IBM SPSS Statistics as needed by selecting the IBM SPSS Statistics desktop icon, which should have appeared on your desktop.

Save the file ISSCAS0_1.0_Other_Operating_Sy.pkg to your computer. You may get a message from your MAC asking you if you want to allow the DUO Multi-Factor Authentication app to install if you have not used DUO before on your computer. Click Allow.

After the download is complete, move the file out of the download folder

Select Continue at the Introduction screen.

Select Continue at the Read Me screen.

Select Continue at the License screen, with 'English' selected.

Select Agree for the license terms prompt

After downloading, select Install at the Installation Type screen (you may need to enter your credentials to proceed)

Open SPSS Statistics by clicking the IBM SPSS Statistics icon

c) After the Internet Authorization Status completes, select Next >

d) Select Finish

If prompted, choose to restart IBM SPSS Statistics immediately (by clicking Restart) or later (by clicking Later).

If it does not prompt you or you chose Later, remember you will need to restart your computer or SPSS may say your license code is expired

You can now open IBM SPSS Statistics as needed by selecting the IBM SPSS Statistics app icon
