When chat is fully enabled, you can send messages to:

• Everyone in the class
• Instructors and Assistants
• Fellow Learners
• Everyone in your Breakout Room

Your instructor may, at any time, restrict your ability to chat with all or some of these groups.

How to Use the Chat Panel

• Select Chat from the toolbar at the bottom to open the chat panel.
• Use the arrow at the top right to pop the chat panel in and out of the platform.
• If you have a number next to the chat icon, that means you have unread messages.
