“Have nothing in your homes that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” -William Morris, 1834.
A minimal lifestyle means different things to different people. It can be owning and living with only 100 items. Or, it can be living a "less is more" life, only buying and using what one may need.
Families, as well as individuals, can successfully live a minimal life. Living with less allows one to not only save money, but live with less stress, honor the environment, and live more simply.
