1. Complete the CITI Program course on Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)
   • New users should register with their DU email address so they fall under DU's institutional account and don't get charged for the training.
2. Fill out the electronic HSR -1 form.
   • Download DU's HSR-1 application practice worksheet to use before submitting the final electronic form. 
3. Send the completed form & CITI program certificate to irb@davenport.edu.

If you need to revise your application or provide additional documentation, the IRB Committee will work with you to make sure your project is clear and protective of any human subjects who choose to participate in it.

Once your revisions are accepted, or if no revisions are needed, your project will be approved and assigned an IRB Protocol number, and you'll be able to begin collecting data.
