About DU Libraries

Alumni

Davenport University Libraries offer a range of online and in-person services and resources for DU alumni. Accompanied children are allowed in DU Libraries (see Policy on Minors for details).

Print Resources

Alumni can check out most physical items.

Alumni Circulation Policies

  • Alumni can check out up to 10 items (including 5 items from other DU libraries).
  • Items will be loaned for 2 weeks (consult individual libraries about DVD loans).
  • 2 renewals are allowed (done in person, by phone, or through the online catalog).
  • There are no daily fines for overdue items.
  • When items are 5 weeks overdue they are considered lost, and the replacement price plus a $15 processing fee is added to the borrower's record.

Electronic Resources

Anyone, anywhere, with a web browser can access these electronic resources:

  • DU campus library information.
  • Subject-specific research help.
  • Testing services information (including special alumni prices).
  • On-campus access to the Internet and Microsoft Office programs.

Note: Alumni can’t currently access DU Library research databases, due to licensing limits. The state of Michigan offers Michigan residents MeL (Michigan Electronic Library) databases (use your State of Michigan identification card or driver's license to access).
